k.r.coop's Full Review: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six for Nintendo 64
Rainbow Six keeps with tradition, as it rolls over from PC to Nintendo 64. It is a game well worth the investment, but remember you need a memory card to save your game.
A funny story happened to me as I was trying to hunt down this game. For two weeks I called about 23 places every other day, to see if they had the game in stock. And for two weeks I got rejection. My good luck showed itself after a while, and I found a store who had a few copies left. So I had my mother race down there during her lunch break. Apparently my bad luck hadn't diminished, for the next day, after I realized i needed a memory card, I went to the local Fred Meyer looking for it. It was New Year's Eve, so everybody was shoulder to shoulder stocking up on Y2K supplies, and the whole shelf of them were gone! I finally ended up finding one though, so now I'm content.
But, back to the subject, Rainbow Six is an outstanding action game and very realistic, its not perfect, but hopefully they will come out with Rogue Spear (PC Sequel) for N64 which would help out a lot.
For myself the game's main problem is that there are very few mission and a thin variety of objectives. I still think Goldeneye 007 is still a better well-rounded game. Rainbow Six is still better in realism though.
But, it is such a wonderful game, and I couldn't believe how its replay value was through the roof. Do yourself a favor, go out and fork over $54 to get the mostly unadvertised hot seller!
