Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros:Beautiful, bold, unique design with a heavy, large face and a comfortable feel
Cons:Some machines pieces may break with minimal use or wear
The Bottom Line: I would reccommend this watch to those with in interest in a bold, heavy, unique and limited edition watch.
If you're in the market for a high-end, unique and bold watch, look no further than the Reactor Electron. Enormous, bulky and heavy it may be, but the Electron is also an extremely reliable, accurate and eye catching timepiece for all walks of life.

Reactor watches are built like tanks using solid stainless steel construction. The electron is one of the heaviest watches I have ever owned but once you put it on, it grows remarkably comfortable. The adjustable clamping back with polished reactor emblem is a nice touch, and has 3 incremental size adjustment positions to ensure a perfect fit. Links can also be removed for larger size adjustments.
The band feature big, bold design lines and an interchanging polished / brushed steel look. I personally enjoy the band as it has a little bit of flash and 'bling' but its not so over the top and gaudy that it looks fake and unaffordable even for this moderately paid twenty-something.
The watch itself is nearly a square inch on your wrist, about 1 1/2 cm from back to top of crystal, so its a large piece meant for a large wrist. If you can take your thumb and middle finger and wrap them around your opposite wrist, and your fingers touch, your wrist is probably too small to wear this watch effectively.
If your fingers don't touch each other, you either have short fingers, or a wrist with a little girth to it, like me.
The face is designed beautifully with numbers written in a "alice in wonderland" type font are lined in a chrome / silver trim upon a black bezel with a dark red hint emanating from the center. It reminds me of the Touch of Color samsung TVs released not too long ago.
The crystal is one of the nicest features of the watch as it follows the contours both vertically and horizontally of the watch body. The multiple curvatures in the crystal amount to slight difficulty reading the time right away, however with the unique font of the numbers, the bends and lines and in the crystal help to accentuate certain digits that are made smaller by design. The crystal can't be replaced by a watch store, so scratching it will result in costly repairs through the manufacturer.
The back of the watch features a circular piece of glass. The glass allows you to see some of the inner components of the 17 jewel auto-quartz swiss movement: mainly, the counterweight.
The counterweight acts like it would in a self winding watch. As you move your wrist normally, the weight moves around in a circle and creates the energy needed to power the watch. Thus, the Reactor Electron needs no batteries..just motion.
As with most Reactor watches, the Electron is built for an outdoors lifestyle. Rated waterproof to 330 ft, wearing it in the shower or at the beach is not an issue.
The solitary adjustment knob on the side is crowned with the Reactor logo and has 3 functions. Its main functions are to set time and date however it also serves to wind the watch should your counterweight break as mine did.
Turns out the screw that holds the counterweight in place is inserted using a machine, and in my case, was screwed in too hard and stripped. I wasn't worried however, as Reactor is notorious for excellent and quality repairs at no costs to the consumer.
The packaging of the watch is a very nice hardwood case with a thick lacquer coat all over and the Reactor logo on top with a matching logo inside painted in silver on black velvet cloth. It truly is a nice container worth keeping out on your dresser.
Overall I would highly recommend the Reactor Electron to any person who is looking for a quality, beautiful, well designed time piece with an eye for style and a wrist for arm wrestling!
