Pros: Colorful and fun. Easy for new walkers to maneuver. EASY assembly.
Cons: My son is only interested in short trips.
The Bottom Line: I recommend the Ready Steady Ride-On only if the child is walking and ready for a ride-on toy. It's more durable other ride-ons for this age, inexpensive, and quality.

| ValerieG's Full Review: Ready-Steady Ride-On |
Michael received 2 of these for his first birthday. They just looked so cool that both his parents and his grandparents had to get one for him. From the moment the Ready Steady Ride On was assembled, this tricycle has been a hit.
Bright, primary colors and strong, sturdy plastic make up the construction of this tricycle. The seat stands less than 12" off the ground, the perfect size for chubby little legs to climb onto. Wide sturdy wheels keep the tricycle upright, even with inexperienced drivers at the helm. Easy to grip handlebars make it easier to turn the tricycle (although this has only been evidenced by Michael's older brother's driving...Michael still only drives it straight and backwards). There are no pedals on this tricycle; the only power is "manpower" using baby's legs.
There is very minimal assembly required. It took me 10 minutes, without my hubby's help (of course, I read the instructions, which he would NEVER do). A hammer was used to lightly tap the pieces into place; otherwise, it was very simple to put together.
Michael is becoming more and more interested in his tricycle everyday. Before long, I can see him chasing after his older brother and sister on their bikes and tricycles.
I recommend this tricycle for babies who are already walking. I think that if the child can't yet walk, and has one of these trikes, they may not see the need to work on walking; after all, they can just "ride" their tricycles to where they want to go. You may want to put off purchasing it for a baby not yet walking.
