Pros: The Eugenol Solution Temporarily Stops the Pain
Cons: Chemically derived eugenol, use natural eugenol in the form of clove oil instead.
I feel the kit is silly since it only consists of cheap tweezers, gauze, and the eugenol solution; however, Red Cross Toothache Medication works well for a chemically derived solution. Eugenol is a substance found in cloves and is an anesthetic. If you care about your health, go to a health food store and buy "real" clove oil (latin name: Eugenia Caryophyllata)instead of using the chemically derived solutions from your "drug" store. You must use clove oil sparingly for it will eventually burn your mouth if you use it for too long. I suggest placing one drop of clove oil in your effected area (tooth or dry socket) once or twice a day. Do not use it for longer than 3 days.
