| eusama's Full Review: Redhook Blonde Ale |
I look forward to Redhook Blonde Ale every summer. That, and various Hefeweizens. When you're doing yardwork and laying around the pool in the hot Texas sun, you don't want anything really heavy. You also don't want Coors Light--if you do, then why don't you just call Sparklett's? Redhook Blonde is a truly refreshing yet flavorful ale. Not bitter at all, with just a slight wheat taste to it. A little fruity with a smooth finish. What else can I say? If you're awarding points for complexity, Blonde gets little. But yet, it's still a real beer, with great flavor that's perfect for the dog days of summer. My wife and I have ordered kegs for our parties and there has been nary a complaint from the bud-coors-miller contingent. In fact, they've been enthusiastic in their consumption. Redhook hasn't completely sold their soul to the devil, and I pray that they never do!
