Product Rating:
Pros: Provides lots of daily moisture without weighing hair down; soft and manageable hair.
Cons: Smaller bottle than the shampoo (also more expensive in price).
The Bottom Line: As a complimentary follow-up to the shampoo, this Redken All Soft Conditioner leaves hair feeling ultra soft, smooth, and easy to detangle.
melissasrn's Full Review: Redken All Soft Conditioner
Since I've never had the type of hair that could be shampooed without using conditioner as a follow-up (that is if I didn't want a head full of tangled straw!), I usually purchase a matching set of hair care products when trying new brands. For high quality salon products are my current weakness and I've already hoarded enough shampoo and conditioner to last a good six months, but it seems I'm still drawn to buying more. So when I saw the Redken All Soft Shampoo as well as this Redken All Soft Conditioner packaged in a special promotional box along with a 1 ounce bottle of their Outshine Anti-Frizz Polishing Milk all for just $14.95 at my local JCPenney salon in the mall, I had no willpower whatsoever and came home with new (to me) hair care stuff to add to my growing collection. For even though these highly rated favorites have been around for awhile, I'm way behind the game when it comes to trying them out. Read on to find out more about this complimentary conditioner that only improves upon the results created from using the shampoo first: All Soft Conditioner smooths, detangles, nourishes and controls frizz for shiny, touchable hair.
~~~The Conditioner~~~
When super soft hair with extra moisture is desired, then this Redken All Soft Conditioner is a daily formula those prone to dryness should eventually try. According to product advertising: All Soft Conditioner softens and detangles dry, brittle, or coarse hair. Redken's exclusive Interbond Conditioning System delivers a proteins, amino acids and avocado oil to provide softness, moisture, conditioning and shine. Of course matching hair care products tend to work better when used together, so it's only natural that this unique, avocado fragranced conditioner only adds to the softness left behind when the shampoo is rinsed away. Used daily, this conditioner is sure to become an instant favorite as damage prone tresses seem to be magically transformed into silk with continued use. My thick yet fine locks need all the help they can get in this department as highlighting sessions every few months has really started to take it's toll on my shoulder length tresses. But with a generous dollop of this creamy light gold colored and somewhat concentrated conditioner, my hair feels super soft and smooth every time I use it. So when I'm in the mood for some luxurious hair pampering, this Redken All Soft Conditioner is now one of my current favorite choices. Purchase a rather small plastic 8.5 ounce (250ml) recyclable bottle of this Redken All Soft Conditioner at your favorite salon or online at places like drugstore.com for around $10.49. That's a bit more than what you'll pay for the shampoo (which comes in a bigger bottle, by the way!), but why is it that they think consumers use more shampoo and less conditioner? For me, it's the other way around, so I'm always having to buy more conditioner as that's what I run out of first! But to get back on topic, this hair care product's packaging has apparently been changed since the picture above was posted by Epinions as it now is a light brownish-gold color and is wider at the bottom and more narrow at the top near the black flip-top lid which can also be screwed off if desired. The Redken 5th Avenue NYC logo as well as the words All Soft can be found on the front of the bottle while the product directions and advertising can be found in three languages on the back: English, French, and Spanish. So try the smaller bottle initially to make sure the moisturizing formula works well for your hair type, and then invest in the larger 33 ounce (1 liter) bottle as buying in bulk saves lots of money even though you shell out more to begin with. The current price for this Redken All Soft Conditioner in the large liter bottle at healthandbeautydepot.com is $23.36, but considering you could fit almost 4 of the standard size bottles inside, this is a true bargain. There's no surprises found here in the directions for use found on each bottle of this Redken All Soft Conditioner: After shampooing, apply and distribute through hair. Rinse. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately. Once my hair is clean from using the matching shampoo, I wring most of the water out of my hair and then apply this conditioner generously so that every strand is saturated with the product. I then wash my body, shave, etc. while letting it do it's work for several minutes before rinsing the conditioner out at the end of my shower. That way I feel I get deep conditioning results on an every-other-day basis when using a product designed for daily use. The unique but pleasant fragrance is certainly different than most of the fruity and/or floral scented products I've tried recently, but it smells really nice and lingers for awhile even after my hair has been towel dried and lightly coated with other styling products. It easily rinses away without leaving a heavy coating of oil on my hair that would make it flat and lifeless. All that's left behind is a layer of soft moisture so that my hair feels smooth and soft to the touch and never dry or straw-like. So while oily hair types might find that this formula provides too much hydration, those with drier locks or even color treaters like myself will find this Redken All Soft Conditioner provides the balanced moisture and manageability your favorite hair style craves all without weighing it down or stripping any color away. Order the smaller 8.5 ounce bottle online here today if you just can't wait to try it out:
Unless you are one of those lucky souls that only need a quick shampoo to transform your locks into a beautiful, envious head full of hair, choose this Redken All Soft Conditioner as the complimentary follow-up to the already popular shampoo in the same line. Although it's packaged in a rather dull looking bottle void of much color, looks can often be deceiving as what's inside is golden silk just waiting to work it's magic on dry/brittle hair. Damage prone locks feel softer and smoother after the very first use, and the detangling process is noticeably easier after this conditioner has been applied and then rinsed away. Now that my small bottle of this effective hair care product is almost gone, I plan to re-purchase it in the large liter size and then refill the smaller bottle to keep in my shower since there's certainly not enough space for the bigger one to be stored there. In conclusion, I highly recommend this Redken All Soft Conditioner as this popular hair care product has been a long term favorite of countless others for a reason. Better late than never as I'm enjoying super soft locks that swing with body while looking and feeling healthier to the touch. Good luck and happy online Beauty product shopping :-)
