missinglynk's Full Review: Redken All Soft Conditioner
Okay, so maybe my coarse, super dry hair (it's genetic... my sister got ALL the good genes) will never be baby smooth, fine and soft, but All Soft has improved my hair so much, that I no longer gripe about my hair!
First things first... let me tell you what ALL my hairstylist say when they first touch my hair BEFORE All Soft:
"Oh MY GOD, this feels like a broom... so dry and coarse!" and thus begin their familiar lecture on hair care.
Problem being I have tried just about ever conditioner in the market, and nothing worked. Don't even mention Pantene... I don't care about their seven day promise.... (RUBBISH... it left my hair drier and more unmanageable than before) I have even tried Paul Mitchell and various salon brands... The only one that worked was Sebastian's Potion 9 but that wasn't a shampoo and conditioner sort of thing .... I had given up until a new stylist urged me to try All Soft.
After my first wash, I knew I was a convert. Even after my first wash, my hair felt smoother, and less brittle. (And brittleness is the worse thing about my hair)
I also like the fact that you don't have to use too much. I normally start off with a small amount, and add more if I need more. You don't have to leave it on for too long for it to be effective. The surprising thing is, while it definitely feels rich and moisturizing when I apply it, it does not feel greasy or oily. It also rinses off well, and relatively quicker than most "heavy duty" conditioners. This is important for me, as I don't want to waste 5 minutes just rinsing my hair clean... that's five minutes of extra sleep I am losing!
It leaves wet hair smoother, but not slick feeling... there's little or no residue/buildup (depending on how well rinse) so your hair doesn't get limp. Blowdrying is much easier too. I also find that it doesn't make my hair go limp. Most conditioners I have used doesn't moisturize but cheat by weighing down the hair. All Soft mantains the volume of my hair.
My hair is always more manageable, softer and smoother. It's also less prone to heat damage from my hairdryer! After my blowdry, my hair feels silkier and looks shinier than before.
The fragrance is lovely. My roomate loves it when I walk into the room after I wash my hair. She says it smells fantastic, and I have to agree with her. The smell is NOT overpowering, but lingers for a day discreetly. (you get wafts of it now and then)
I LOVE this product... I would recommend this to anyone with dry, wiry, kinky and BRITTLE hair. It works miracles. People with fine and oily hair had best stay away from the All Soft range.
Let's just say, even though I probably shouldn't be able to afford this, but I cut corners where I can, to be able to afford this.
You simply must at least give it a try. Warning: addiction highly possible.
