age6racer's Full Review: Redken All Soft Conditioner
I LOVE shampoo and conditioner, perhaps to the point of addiction. I have tried many different brands of hair products, both expensive and economical, and none in any price range match the conditioning power of Redken's All Soft Conditioner.
I purchased an 8.5 ounce bottle of Redken All Soft Conditioner at a local salon for $8.50. I have often seen small sample sized bottles of about one ounce of this conditioner, which may be a good option for those who are wary about shelling out so much cash. Note that this product is only available in professional salons.
Redken All Soft Conditioner claims that it "softens and detangles dry, brittle, or wiry hair. Redken's exclusive Interbond Conditioning System delivers proteins, amino acids, and avocado oil to smooth and condition. Leaves hair supple, shiny, and easy to style."
I am very skeptical when any product tries to use their "scientific" mumbo-jumbo to sell a product (i.e. "Interbond Conditioning System") but Redken All Soft really delivers! After shampooing my hair with All Soft Shampoo I picked up the tall gold bottle of All Soft Conditioner. Though the bottle is round the sides are ribbed, a thoughtful feature that makes wet bottles much easier to hold onto in the shower. The writing on the bottle is dark blue with both French and English. I snapped the bottle open and took a sniff. Mmmm...it smelled absolutely delicious, but was neither over-powering nor absolutely "girly." I suppose it is the avocado oil that lends the product its warm, almost edible aroma, but whatever it is, it's wonderful. As I squeezed the bottle a delicate pinkish orange swirl of thick, rich conditioner filled my palm. Mmm, I breathed in more of that smell! I slathered the conditioner onto my hair and could almost feel it becoming more beautiful. I detangled with no problems, which is a major concern for me as my hair is several inches above my waist and very curly. As I rinsed the conditioner from my hair it felt instantly softer.
I let my hair air dry (as always). Upon touching I found that my hair was softer than it has ever been. It was also very clean, bouncy and shiny and my curls were not at all fuzzy but were rather well-behaved. It also retained that yummy smell, though it was subtle. In short, my hair looked wonderful.
In case you hadn't gathered yet, I highly recommend Redken's All Soft line. Unless you have very oily hair, I would disregard the note that this product is for "dry/brittle hair" and give it a try. It is worth it for the fragrance alone. It will make your hair soft, shiny, and full of life.
