The moment I put on these shoes at the store I immediately recognized that these shoes had been created with the runner in mind. These shoes although lightweight do not sacrifice cushioning to any extent, for that these are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Though these shoes feel different when walking and running and especially sprinting. When you walk and jog more of the bottom surface of the foot is exposed to the ground, whereas during sprinting only the toes touch the ground. This I recognized when taking these shoes on a test run on the track. These shoes reminded me of the Nike Spriridons that Michael Johnson used to signature but where the similarities in lightness were evident the lack of cushioning in the Spiridons made injury to those who wore them common place. I currently am still working out in the DMX's and have been doing so since I purchased them in winter of last year. But when it comes to picking a shoe personal preference is what matters, so if you are the type of runner who prefers to have soft ride and a lightweight shoe the DMX is for you. For those who may need some more support should consider New Balance or the Nike Air Max serious.
