Pros: Delicious, more peanut butter cream and a larger size and they are fresh!
Cons: Calories, sugars, etc. (But, on occasion, that's not a bad thing!)
The Bottom Line: The Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs are wonderful and a "bigger" version of their Peanut Butter Cups!

| Magick1's Full Review: Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs 6ct Easter Candy |
I cannot tell you how I look forward to the themed holiday candy that comes out during the winter and spring holidays. It is then that I know the fresh offerings will be available from some of my favorite indulgences! Reeses Peanut Butter items are on the top of this list! Easter always brings my favorite flavor in a nice fresh egg shaped heavenly chocolate and peanut butter combination.
My husband never got the hint this year. He was home due to being laid off from his job and he was in charge of the Easter candy for the babester. I said, oh, this is when the Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs are in the store, be sure to buy some. He turned to me, asked me if it was for the babester or me and I sweetly said BOTH! Because, the babester would get some and so would I. Isnt that what being a parent is all about? Subjecting yourself to all of the candy from Halloween, Christmas and Easter to save your child from obesity, cavities, etc? Isnt that what our job is? (Well, I know it isnt just those things, but arent these the most important things to help watch out for?)
Needless to say, he purchased the candy for her eggs a few days before Easter and the mad rush descended on the stores to wipe clear 4 different aisles of Easter candy. He said he got a great selection of items, and we were set. I trusted that. Well, the bunnies had to get the little plastic eggs filled for the hunt, and it was of course the night before about 9 oclock. He worked feverishly on them, as I was helping do something else around the house. Therefore, I never saw what he had. He came up and we started to hide the eggs. I asked about the peanut butter eggs and he nonchalantly said I didnt get any. YOU WHAT? Thats not what I wanted to hear. What a bummer.
Well, he felt bad, because I reiterated how I love these and really wish that we had some. He actually went out about 9:30 to shop the stores on Saturday night to try to locate some for me. He struck out in most places (Wal-Mart, Target). He then remembered the corner gas station (that is associated with the grocery store closest to our house) had some on display. He thought that they might have some left and went there.
The Product
This little egg is roughly 2 ½ inches long by about 1 ½ to 1 ¾ inches wide. Its covered in the delicious chocolate Reeses has and inside is the wonderful peanut butter mixture Reeses is known for like they put in their peanut butter cups. What a bargain! You get more chocolate and peanut buttery goodness (especially the peanut butter) than you do in 2 of the peanut butter cups. This is in just 1 egg. (Now can you understand why I like these eggs so much.)

Overall Impressions
Sometimes, when you purchase items in a store, convenience store or elsewhere, you never know how long these items have been sitting and they sometimes taste stale and are not very good. I have found this especially true with Nestle Crunch Bars. I loved these when I was younger and thought about picking one up occasionally when I see them in a store. Nostalgia hits me; I pick one up, and am disappointed tremendously because it is stale. But, if I find the Nestle Crunch Holiday Bells I find they are fresher and more like I remembered when I was growing up.
I find this somewhat true with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. It doesnt happen frequently, but once in a while. Thats likely because the peanut butter cups likely sell better. But, when the eggs come out, I know they were produced for this holiday season and they are generally much more fresh, delicious and satisfy those peanut butter cup cravings extremely well! I normally do not buy candy, but a few times a year. And, this is one of those times!
If you want a delicious peanut buttery great taste and you enjoy the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, this is kind of like a grown up version of those. You get more of the peanut butter cream inside, the chocolate is the same, but not as thick as it is on the cups. Therefore, you are getting so much more peanut butter! I think they are awesome, and I am happy we found a couple of the 6 packs in the store. It wouldnt have been the same without them!
~Thank you for spending time with me today!~
