Pros: Can't think of any
Cons: At 1 lb 6 oz, is too heavy. Takes too long to dry hair.
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this to straighten and dry your hair at the same time. Does not work as advertised.

| mjlee22's Full Review: Remington Wet 2 Straight |
I was at Target and bought the Wet 2 Straight model S-8000i (the 2" version) for $29. I did not read these reviews before buying it.
I am surprised there are so many positive reviews of this product. Since there are already so many reviews, I will just add why I am returning this product.
The packaging says that this straightener eliminates blow drying. That is not even close to correct. To style my hair, I have blow-dried it for years. But now that I'm getting menopausal, my hair is drying out. I thought that using a straightener would be less stress on my hair.
However, this product takes forever to dry your hair. And at 1 lb 6 oz, this straightener is so heavy that my arm was too tired, and I had to give up after doing just half my head. I'm an athletic tennis player, it's not like I'm out of shape.
Also because it took too long to use, my head got over-heated. Okay, so maybe the menopause has something to do with that, but still...
Because the controls are digital, you must set the temperature each time you use it. On the up side, it heats up quickly and beeps when it's ready to use.
I instead purchased a Conair straightener, which weighed less than 1 lb. This seems to be working well for me and cost $10 less.
