Pros: Usual Residence Inn amenities; clean and comfortable rooms.
Cons: Located in warehouse district.
The Bottom Line: This is a fairly typical Residence Inn in an easy-to-find and convenient location, but not the best part of town.

Overview
Looking for a comfortable stop on our westward trek home and one convenient to our route, we picked the Residence Inn Oklahoma City West. We arrived in the area via I-44 (The Turner Turnpike) and planned to leave on I-40. The Inn was not far from where the two highways meet, and it was not hard to find. It is located in a warehouse and light industrial area, but a dozen or so chain restaurants are just one main block west on Meridian. The property is owned by Equity Inns, Inc. and operated by Crossroads Hospitality. Naturally, it flies the Marriott flag, offers Marriott Rewards points and participates in the Marriott reservation system.
Facility
Although it is well maintained, this Inn appears to be older than some of its brand. It consists of a collection of buildings with a gatehouse at the entrance. There are 17 buildings containing 136 guest units. The site also includes an outdoor pool and spa together with a sport court. The gatehouse has a guest laundry.
Our studio suite had a queen bed, couch, a desk with chair, and the usual full kitchen. A dining counter divided the kitchen from the sitting area. The bath was quite adequate with a tub shower. The room was clean, and everything worked well, including the large-screen TV.
One of the reasons my wife and I enjoy staying at Residence Inns is the fact that you get ample space, even in a studio suite like this. You can move around, bring in your own food, connect to the Internet at a desk, and just relax.
Service
At check-in, the desk clerk was cordial, and our reservation was correct. Housekeeping and maintenance service was good; at least it seemed so based on the results.
Food Service
As is the case with all Residence Inns, this one offers a complimentary breakfast buffet, and it also provides complimentary food during a social hour in the late afternoon during the week. Unfortunately, we arrived on Memorial Day, and the afternoon freebee was not offered. We checked out the row of chain restaurants nearby and decided on Ihop, not one of our favorites, but a lucky choice here. We got the senior 2 for 1 special, which was OK, even though the chicken tortilla soup didnt have any tortilla in it at all.
The breakfast buffet was typical Residence Inn. Scrambled eggs and French toast were offered along with waffle batter and irons. Breads consisted of bagels, sweet rolls, sliced bread (with toaster), and muffins. Unfortunately, the collection of spreads did not include peanut butter. There was coffee, 2 juice selections, and 2 types of milk. In addition to packaged cereals, oatmeal was available. Several flavors of yogurt topped off the offerings.
