First of all, it is extremely misleading for reviewers of this product to give their opinion of a product that is essentially no longer to purchase new. I, too, remember my grandmother's excellent Revereware Copper Clad set from our kitchen as a child. When I was old enough, I remember cooking with all the pieces and how sturdy and reliable it *was* when I first used it. By that time, the set was easily 20 years old. Now, after actually purchasing and using the "new" version of Revereware Copper Clad cookware, I can tell you that what you all remember, and what you *think* you are basing your opinions on, is NOT what you get if you purchase these new. The metal is thin and cheap-feeling. After one use, the fry pans and saucepan bottoms have expanded with the heat and bulged out and become wobbly or bulged in and made a high spot inside the pan. The fry pans are particularly disappointing, since any liquid in the pan runs to the outer edge and leaves the food in the center literally high and dry, and susceptible to burning. I am in the process of attempting to return them to the online store I bought them from, but I am not optimistic, since they cannot be returned due to warping, though I do not consider this warpage. Also, they need to be new (unused) and in their original packaging. Basically, if it is defective, you cannot return it. Defective product is not a valid reason for return - to either seller or manufacturer. Please, please, please STOP reviewing the older version of this line of cookware, since you cannot find that quality of product for purchase new anymore.
