Product Rating:
Pros: Combats under eye circles and puffiness, leaves eye area moist and smooth, smooths fine lines
Cons: Doesn't completely take away dark circles, somewhat pricey
The Bottom Line: Finally! A cream that really does diminish under eye circles! This isn't going to completely banish them, but you'll see definite improvement in the darkness of your under eye circles.
PattyTherre's Full Review: Revision Teamine Eye Complex
I have had dark circles under my eyes all my life. I was born with them. I have been asked so many times if I am tired or feeling ill because, no matter what concealer I use (Dermablend is the best of the them all though), I still have those circles. I have tried everything. Concealers, creams, lotions, even prescription lightening creams. Nothing. The shadows and circles remained.
A while ago, I had a severe reaction to something I used on my face. I went to a dermatologist to find out what to do for the blotchiness and, while there, I asked if there was anything even surgical that could help dark circles fade. She scribbled the name of a product down but warned me that it was expensive. She said that it is the only product in all her 27 years in dermatology that she found actually works for people like me, those of us who inherited the circles and cant banish them with a couple of cool cucumber slices and a nap.
When I got home, I pulled out the paper and tried to read it. It took a while, but I figured out what the doctor wrote town. Teamine . I called the office for clarification and was told it was complex made by Revision and to ONLY use the Revision Teamine Eye Complex and no knock offs. Again, I was warned it was expensive.
A search on the web brought up tons of info on Revision Teamine Complex Eye Cream. There was page after page of proof as to why this product works and why people like myself get good results. Between my dermatologists recommendation and all the info about this stuff on the net by third parties, I decided to buy some no matter what the price.
Ironically, the cost was generally about $52.00 for one half ounce, the same amount I currently pay for my favorite eye cream, Lancome's Progres Eye Cream . To me, that isnt expensive to get results.
I found a website that was selling Teamine for $46.50 on sale and waited for my miracle in a jar to come. I had very little confidence that the cream would really work but I was hoping for the best.
The Official Word
This is from an independent third party study on Revision Teamine Eye Cream:
DERMATOLOGIST GRADE
Texas-based Revision Skincare Inc. is offering plastic surgeons and dermatologists advanced new technology to combat one of the top concerns that patients have about their appearance - dark under eye circles. Teamine Eye Complex® is a treatment that is guaranteed to markedly reduce the appearance of dark under eye circles and puffiness. Teamine attacks the causes of this condition both on the cellular level and at the skin's surface.
Teamine Complex ® is the ONLY ingredient proven to reduce dark circles!
Years of research have indicated that using Teamine Complex® will result in four major benefits, correcting and generating younger-looking, healthier skin. Most patients will see and feel immediate improvement in their skin's smoothness, with noticeable reduction in dark circles within four to eight weeks.
The Packaging
Teamine comes in a deceptively large light green box. It is cleverly designed and one part slides off (like a sleeve) and the inner box opens like a flip top. Inside sits a little glass jar of Teamine Cream. There is an insert with every purchase explaining what Teamine is, what the benefits of using it are, and application instructions. The jar itself is a simple frosted glass one with a black screw on/off lid. One-half an ounce seems so small but I know from years of use with Progres that it can last a long time when applied sparingly around the eye area.
My Experience
The cream is fairly thick, although not as thick as Progres (but nothing is). It has a very faint scent. Nothing I can describe or even really notice. Just a very tiny hint of a cream scent. I dabbed the cream around my eyes from corner to corner and on the brow bones. My skin immediately felt moisturized and smooth. But that isnt why I bought the cream.
I decided to use the Teamine every night without fail. However, although you can use it twice a day, I chose to stick with my other creams during the day and use Teamine as an overnight treatment.
Upon waking the first couple of weeks of trying this cream, my eye area felt smooth and moisturized. I almost didnt need any cream at all under my eyes during the day but I am a complete spaz about always keeping that area dewy so I continued (and continue still) to use under eye cream day and night.
After a few weeks, I noticed that the dark circles seemed slightly lighter. They were by no means gone, but I could see a difference. I kept on using the Teamine nightly and, after about seven weeks, I could see a noticeable difference in the darkness under my eyes. Granted, I am not able to leave the house confidently without concealer, but this is the first time ever that any product ever truly made a bit of a difference around my eyes. I am very, very impressed.
I ordered another jar when I was running low because I sure didnt want to be without it. I use it nightly and it lasts quite a long time. You need only to dot a bit of the cream on and it absorbs fast and quickly makes the skin around your eyes less taut and fragile. Its a fine eye cream but the amazing part about it is, it actually does reduce dark circles and puffiness around the eyes! Like I said, I am not free of those pesky circles, but the degree of darkness is diminished to the point where I no longer look like the walking dead.
As a plus, the fine lines around my eyes are softer and I have no puffiness at all. I never had bags under my eyes but now and then I would get some puffiness. That hasnt happened since week three of Teamine use.
A search of the word Teamine will bring up a plethora of information on this magic potion. The official Revision website is www.revisionskincare.com, where you can read about all their products including this one. You can buy Revision Teamine Eye Cream at many beauty supply online sites. It seems to be a popular item and sells out fast. The price is generally about $52.00 for one half ounce but a thorough search will find you at least a deal or two. So far I have only paid $46.50 for both jars I have used and it is well worth the price. I dont know if Revision Teamine is sold in brick and mortar stores but it is worth checking out to get a sample or two to try.
Conclusion
I waited a few months to request this product be added to the epinions database because I wanted to give Teamine a fair chance to show me what it could and couldnt do. I can say with certainty that the cream has softened my fine lines, eliminated any puffiness I may have had, and has decreased the severity of my dark circles by a noticeable amount. My circles are not gone and they never will be. The skin around my eyes is much thinner than on my face and, as a result, the blue hue from the veins underneath show up like dark circles. But, with Teamine as my secret weapon, my circles are manageable. I can wear concealer and not worry about the darkness under my eyes giving people cause to worry about my health or my lack of sleep. My family has noticed a change in the appearance of the dark circles and my sisters have been asking me what my secret is. After years of trying useless creams and thousands of dollars wasted, I have found a product that actually really helps solve the one problem I never thought I would be able to solve.
It wont completely zap your under eye circles. But, with daily or nightly use, Teamine will lessen the severity of them and brighten your eye area. Not with polymers and reflectors, but with real ingredients that truly lessen the darkness of the circles.
I highly recommend this cream to anyone suffering from hereditary under eye circles, puffiness, and general problem eyes. Its not a miracle but its the closest thing so far I have found to one.
I am torn between a five star and a four star rating. While the product worked great for me, it didnt totally diminish my circles. Still anyone who has battled circles like I have will be ecstatic to see actual results at last. So, with that in mind, I will give Teamine five stars!
