| jiastar's Full Review: Revlon Colorstay Lipliner |
You can tell when I'm disappointed in a make-up purchase as soon as you look at the compact, vial, tube, etc. and find it in nearly pristine condition.
When I used this lipstick again today for the purpose of this review you could barely tell that it had been used before. And the verdict still stands - I hate it!!
Why did you purchase this product?
Being a busy mom I liked the idea of a lipstick that wouldn't need applying but would look soft and natural all day long.
What do you love or hate about it?
This looked great when I applied it - it was luscious and shiny. MY lips looked full and pouty and wonderful ... for about 5 minutes.
Then, it started to look like someone had dyed my lips with ink. And it had almost a powdery finish to it. It also seemed to "take" differently on different areas of my lips resulting in an uneven cast. In the end it looked sloppy and unnatural.
Who should buy this product? Who shouldn't?
I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
What is it like using this product?
You have to be very careful when applying this product. In fact I would advise using a lipstick brush instead of using it out of the tube.
The reason? If you happen to get it outside the lip line it has a tendency to discolor the flesh.
Did it do what it promised? Was it effective?
It WAS pretty long lasting. But as I didn't care for the way it made my lips look -- I wish it would've worn off ... so that I could've replaced it with another product.
Did it improve the way you look or feel?
Absolutely NOT!
