Pros: Excellent colors that stay true all day. Shatter proof plastic bottle.
Cons: Not easy to wash off completely, price.
The Bottom Line: For every benefit, there is a down side. There are a couple with Colorstay Lite Makeup, but it is overall the best foundation I have tried.

| Mrs.Mac's Full Review: Revlon Colorstay Lite Makeup |
I have been searching for the perfect foundation for about 12 years. I would always end up looking like a leopard by afternoon with orange tinted splotches on my face. Once I stopped shopping for foundation solely based on price, I realized a lot of the ones I was using were just not the right color for my skin tone. I found that most of the cheaper brands did have an orange base, and they were not designed to stay on all day.
I decided to try Revlon Colorstay foundation when my Grandfather passed away a few years ago. I knew I would be crying all day, and I thought perhaps I could stay looking half way decent by spending the extra $3 on this "new" foundation I've been hearing about. I paid around $8 for a 1 oz bottle about 5 years ago.
I wasn't disappointed in its performance. The color was far more natural looking than anything I've tried before. Wiping my face with tissue, I noticed there was no color on the tissue. In the afternoon the color was still good and it was the same as when I first put it on.
I did have some trouble washing it off that night. After I washed my face as usual I used an astringent, I noticed there was some color on the cotton. I washed my face again, and although that helped, I could tell it still wasn't all gone. But, I decided the benefits outweighed the inconvenience of having to wash my face more carefully.
It wasn't long before I dropped the glass bottle on the tile floor and broke it, so I went back to the store and noticed in a plastic bottle Revlon makes a "lite" version of their Colorstay make-up. I was happy to make the switch and even happier to find it was just as true and long lasting as the regular version.
I had hoped the lite version would wash off more easily, but I still found traces of it on the cotton when I thought my face was clean. I still have to be careful when washing my face, if I don't get every trace of it off, I get clogged pores, and as a result minor break outs.
I have been faithfully been buying this product since, but I was very disappointed to find that after it was real well known the price went up almost overnight. I paid $7.99 at my local Wal-mart when I first started using it, and after about a year the price when up to $10.49. Being a tightwad, this really upset me, I realize there are much more expensive foundations out there, but it was the principle of the thing. I now buy it on sale when ever I find it, and stock up. K-mart puts selected brands of make-up, including Revlon, on sale for up to 25% off from time to time. I've also found grocery stores that carry make-up will have pretty good sales on it. Their buy one, get one free deals are great for this.
If you have trouble with finding a color that looks "real" on you, or your make-up looking splotchy by noon, I highly recommend this foundation, but buy it on sale, and wash carefully.
