Pros:Easy to use, afforadable, works just as well as salon flat irons
Cons:Can't use to curl hair
The Bottom Line: The revlon flat iron is worth every penny. It's a great product that is durabe and will work like a champ for you every single time.
This perfect heat professional hair straightener is truly amazing. I have had this straightener for ten years and it has never given me a problem, except for the fact that I cut my hair and it’s a little harder to use, but still doable.

Built: This straightener has a thick gold heating plate, it’s handle if handy because it’s big enough to where your hands aren’t anywhere near the hot surface. The straightener is on the bigger and longer side, but its well worth it. You know how curling irons have a little knob to place on the counter so it doesn’t burn you counter top? Well this perfect heat professional hair straightener has those little knobs on the out side of the plate. The knobs are located on both sides so you don’t have to worry about which side to lay it on. Also, the knobs are rubber to help keep you counter from getting scratch up.
The heating level and on/off switch are located on the outside of the handle. I don’t know about you, but I have almost burned my finger plenty of times when the on/off button was on the inside of the straightener. I don’t know what the manufactures were thinking when they decided to place the on/off switch inside the handle of the straighter. Do they want people to have fried hair and burnt fingers? Having the on/off switch and the heating level on the outside is very convenient.
Heating: The heating on this straighter is more than I could of asked for. As I mentioned before I have had this straightener for ten years and it still runs like a champion. Its works the same now as it did the first day I used it. The heating plate heats up quickly, almost too quickly. I don’t have time to finish my make-up.
Alright let’s get down to business and crunch some numbers. How much does a ceramic salon (known to be the best straightener) cost? A Paul Brown ceramic flat iron costs $185.00 and right now it’s on sale for $129.99. These flat irons are supposed to be the best because they are used by professionals. About five years ago my best friend got a ceramic flat iron from her cousin who works in salon. She gave me her old salon flat iron which she paid pretty good money for. I wanted to use my new thin plate ceramic flat iron so I set aside my other flat iron. I went through my ceramic flat iron within two years, yes two years. I started using my old one (this Revlon flat iron) and it worked like the first day I bought it.
Style: Even though this flat iron is bulker than most it still does a great job at styling. My hair can be pretty stubborn especially the side where my part falls. I part my hair on the right side (if you're looking at me face to face) which mean I have more hair on one side. My right side loves to flip and my left side loves to curl under. I know I’m not the only girl with this problem. This flat iron makes my right side curl under and my left side flip out. Unfortunately, my hair hits my shoulders and causes my right side to flip out later in the day. However, it stays curled under most of the day or during the most important parts of the day. All hair is hard to tame, but Revlon flat iron makes it easier.
