Pros: Absolutely wonderful mid-'60's sound capturing the essence of the Byrds and the Beatles
Cons: Plan on two hours to restring it
The Bottom Line: Picking up this guitar and playing makes every day feel like Christmas: it is a sheer delight in sound and playability.

| raymondj's Full Review: Rickenbacker 330/12 |
I bought a used 330-12 after seeing one used in "That Thing You Do!" and hearing the Gin Blossoms "Til I Hear It From You." In fact when I got it, that's the first song I played, over and over. Its sound takes you back to the '60's and gives it that sound even with new material. The neck is thin and narrow, making it as easy to play barre chords as it is on a Gibson 335; it holds its tuning better than any other 12 string I've played. It sounds good live and in the studio with a minimum of effects and through various amps; I've used a Fender Bluesman and an Ampeg ReverbRocket with equally pristine sound and wonderful clarity to lead guitar work. The guitar is light and well-balanced and is an absolute pleasure to play and hear.
