Have you ever found a diamond in the rough? Well, I think that I have found two, the first one is my girlfriend. The second one is Meyers Castle Very special dining experience. This is an Argentine and Brazilian dining. With all the trimmings.

They are both found in Indiana. One is more beautiful than the other. I wrote this because I thought that everyone should know that there is more than one of these around. Meyers Castle is located just west of route 41 on route 30. Reservations will need to be made. They are a little difficult to find so calling for directions may be necessary. Wednesday through Saturday between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

This was one of the most elegant dining experiences that I have ever experienced. To be able to take my girlfriend to a place like this was a real treat, then to meet her family was a real honor. As nervous as I was just being there, and to meet her lovely sister Cathy and charming boyfriend Sam, both of whom made me feel like I was part of the family.

Upon arrival we noticed that the drive was lit on both sides, making this a very romantic site for your eyes. We did not realize how elegant this place was, but we soon found out. The valet parking was a refreshing sight, no need to worry about your car. The people were very nice to us.

When we walked in we thought we were a little under dressed. That is when we saw someone walking out and noticed that we were not. When we walked inside we noticed that the whole place was lit up with candles and had elegant antique white bird cages lined up in the hallway. The lighting was the most beautiful that I have seen in a long time. The lighting makes your date melt into your arms as you walk through.

When we walked into the main part, off to one side there was a small wedding reception going on. This would be the perfect place for a wedding reception if I do say so myself. The decor of this establishment looked like that of a kings harem. This has to be just about one of the most romantic places that you could take your beautiful girlfriend. When we met my girlfriends sister and her boyfriend , they greeted me with open arms. Those two are made for each other. So why was I so nervous? Let me see, taking your beautiful date out to a romantic place and then meeting her family you tell me.

Well anyway, they made the night very enjoyable and fun. They could not have picked a nicer and more romantic place to meet. During the summer they have lamas, ostriches along with other gentle animals roaming the grounds. They also turn on the water falls for everyone to enjoy. It is a very beautiful place no matter where you looked. You really have to see this place to appreciate it.

Rodizios (Meyers Castle)is an Argentine and Brazilian Steak House. This technique of roasting over charcoal and on skewers was created in the mid thirty's. They first start you out with a cocktail and then you can try out the buffet of vegetables and seafood, and cold meat dishes. Direct from Argentine or Brazil. The price for this starts at $25.50 A plate. You must be over 21 to enjoy the cocktails.

Don't forget the pasts salad bar. There is a chef that will prepare it right in front of you. You have several pasta's to choose from, and several different sauces, the chef sautee it up right in front of you , no waiting during this whole process. The chef has four burners that he uses, and he can use all of them at the same time. There is no waiting, no ordering, just pick and choose. All this comes up piping hot.

By the time you get back they are just about ready to start serving you all the meats, poultry, and pork that you can eat. Imported from Argentina. The waiters brandishing swords with the meat attached to them, then they just slide them off and slice you a piece. The sirloin was as juicy and tender as you could ask for. The pork was just as good, and the chicken well, was just chicken. They just kept bringing it to you until you said stop. The service was impeccable.

At no time was any of these meats spicy or over done. An added addition to all of this was the fact that they had seafood also. There was Red Snapper, Salmon, and Rainbow Trout. This place has a trademark of cooking with vegetable charcoal for that different taste.

If you are not full after all this wonderful food, they had desert waiting for you. There are wonderful desserts such as strawberry cheese cake or chocolate mousse just to name a few. Plus they had the finest wine from Argentina and California and Spain.

If you still want to see more, just take a stroll out of the place and look around more. The valet service would bring your car already warmed up. So while you are walking out with your date arm in arm, just turn to her and give her a big passionate kiss and remember the night you just had together. She will never forget it.
