I just had one of the best meals of my life at the Terrace Restaurant
located inside the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The food can be classified as
"Mediterranean". My girlfriend and I had a late dinner (9pm) and
the restaurant was rather deserted so it was nice and quiet for us.
While dining have a wonderful pianist which adds to the romantic ambiance.
We started our meal by sharing a cup of French onion soup. I
immediately noticed that it was "just the right size" for how I like
my soups. I normally dont like having a large bowl of soup that
most restaurants serve since I dont want to fill myself up with the
soup but want want a good taste.
For entrees, my girlfriend ordered the warm Scallop-Prawn Salad
($15). It's normally an appetizer but the waiter informed us that
she could change it to an entree size. I ordered the Grilled Whole
Maine Lobster ($30). Her salad was absolutely wonderful with a very
appetizing mixture of flavors. My lobster was incredibly tender
and probably the best lobster I've ever had. For dessert we shared
the dessert sampler( $15) so we could sample a large variety.
Overall it was a great experience. The service was absolutely
perfect. I wouldn't expect any less for the Ritz though... Our
waiter was genuinely helpful. They also had our courses timed
very well. There wasn't a long drought between courses nor
did any course arrive before the previous had settled.
I am definitely headed back there and considering the prices, given
the quality and taste of the food in addition to the top notch service,
you should consider it a bargain.
