Pros: cheap, decent traction when siped.
Cons: too bad it's not a performance tire with good cornering, straight traction is actually good.
The Bottom Line: Recommended for those on a budget that still need traction in all conditions and some decent dry weather performance

| forevrnite's Full Review: Road Hugger GT-A Passenger/Performance Tire |
I put these on a Saturn SL2 1998 year model. Originally they had Firestone's which were horrible, I don't even remember the model now but I believe it was the affinity's that came on the sedan. I had one of those lose the entire tread leaving me with sidewalls, was on the way to the airport to pick someone up so stopped at Discount Tire and got General's on all around because they were the cheapest. Fast forward a couple years and I have a nearly flat tire from a nail. Pull into discount tire and find out that my alignment is off and the tires are all worn and feathered on the inside edge. So I get the bad tire fixed and do some research. Ended up going with the Roadhuggers as they were supposed to be identical in performance to a set of Goodyears I was looking at. Had them put on and an alignment done which did solve the wear problem.
On to the Roadhuggers now. For the price this is a great all season tire. I had mine siped and on dry pavement I could barely spin them after that before they would grip. Yes that might not sound like a big deal on a Saturn but mine had aftermarket performance mods and Saturns are torque heavy anyway. It was always VERY easy to spin out the stock tires and the Generals. The siped Roadhuggers just plain gripped. If you need a cheap tire that is decent then the Roadhuggers will get you by. Also wanted to note that wet traction when siped at least (I had mine siped right away) is very good as well. I never got a chance to test them in the snow though so I can't comment there.
