Best Buy's Rocketfish RF-WHTIB wireless speaker system is a great idea -- surround sound without having to snake speaker wire all over the room.

But in execution, the RF-WHTIB falls woefully short. It's fairly easy to set up. You hook at transmitter to your receiver in lieu of the rear left and right speakers. Then you connect your rear speakers to a receiver unit. Once the transmitter and receiver pair up, similar to Bluetooth, the user gets surround sound without the hassle of wires.
In reality, the transmitter and receiver were inconsistent when pairing with one another. Also, every time the receiver is turned off, the connection is lost, so re-pairing is necessary in order to achieve surround sound.
After a year, the units refused to pair and the Rocketfish was essentially junk.
Calls to Best Buy and Rocketfish yielded no useful assistance.
