Pros: Authentic sound, very easy to change settings. Only what's needed
Cons: The high and low end of the keys do not produce quality sound
The Bottom Line: When buying an instrument many things are taken into consideration. This model was perfect for me in almost every respect.

| lucciyou's Full Review: Roland Hp137 Digital Piano |
I just purchased this digital piano on a whim. I hadn't had a piano after I left for college and I decided now was the time to buy one for my own apartment, which is exactly why I chose the Roland piano. It does not take up much space length width or height wise. (approx. 4x1x3 ft.) It can easily fit in an elevator or be carried up stairs by two people. The settings include only volume, instrument sound, and the force with which you need to hit the key to produce a louder note. It comes with 8 demo songs, which I listen to like it's a cd including "For Elise" and other original work. There are 2 jacks for headphones so that no sound except for the tapping of the keys can be heard by your sleeping roommates. (Which may be a little more unnerving than you might expect) You can play the sound of the piano, pipes, Electric piano, or harpsichord. It is basically no frills but it has just enough for you to have control over how your music sounds.
On one last note (no pun intended) the price was right for a recent graduate. The next best option was another Roland model that costed $1000 more for a few more options including recording oneself and being able to overlap the recordings. Had I thought about it more thoroughly be able to record would have seemed like a more attractive option, but that's okay, I am going to relearn to play any way I can. And the Roland HP137 perfectly suits my needs right now.
