track_runner's Full Review: Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (Platinum) for Windows
What is there to say. The roller coaster rage has been added onto by another great expansion pack, Loopy Landscapes. I only had regular Roller Coaster Tycoon for about 2 weeks before we got the Loopy Landscapes expansion pack (included with Corkscrew Follies). Instantly I had much more available to me. So many more options, rollercoasters, food stalls, themes. Everything was bumped up a level.
Roller Coaster Tycoon is basically this. You get an area of land and you have so much time to build a woppin theme park, with so many people in in or so much value. You can build everything from a steep roller coaster to the Merry-Go-Round, to the bathroom (I always charge 10 cents to get in...easy money!).
Loopy Landscapes gives you many more rollercoasters. Plus, the thrill rides and the gentle rides all had new rides to investigate and try out. There were more food stalls, more water rides, and probably the best thing, more land areas. You have places to build from the hot desert, a volcano, or even an iceberg! You name it, the scenario is there. There isn't much to really say about it. If you have Roller Coaster Tycoon, and you wish you had more options, than go with the expansion pack. Even minor things like being able to change the enterance stands to different themes, change the music on rides, or being able to name your employees. The option is there. All in all- I recommend the new expansion pack. There are so many more features that you have to go with it.
Now I'm just waiting for a new pack....when are they going to come up with one where you can ride your rides!!!!
