Nostalgic of my childhood.

Pros:Old School, basic, generous amount of product that does what it claims to do.
Cons:No sunscreens, price a bit high.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this to a lip balm junkie who appreciates packaging, childhood fragrances and one who wants a substantial amount of product. This lipbalm epitomizes all of that.
Upon seeing this lip balm at Sephora, I felt an automatic attraction because of the packaging (which is absolutely darling--I'll elaborate later) and the smell. The fragrance reminds me of the BonneBell lipbalms that my dad would buy for me and my sister when we were little.
This Lip Balm is made by Rosebud Perfume Co., which has been around for quite sometime.
The packaging takes on a vintage feel. It is a gold colored tin with strawberry plants snaking around the edge of the tin, and various font types are used on the top of the tin.
The top of the tin reads:
Rosebud Strawberry Lipbalm and moisturizer. Included are the weight and the distribution address.
The bottom reads:
Protects and moisturizes your lips from drying effects of weather.
There are 0.8 oz of product, and the ingredients are:
Petrolatum, Lanolin Alcohol, Synthetic Wax, Natural and Artificial Flavor.
So we have it down to pretty much the very basics. It is in many ways quite ordinary, and may cause one to rethink paying $5.00 for it, when there are quality lipbalms at the drugstore for less than half the price.
But as I stated earlier, the fragrance that takes me back to my childhood was a large part of the attraction, and I'm often a sucker for packaging.
I really like the quality of this lip balm. It keeps my lips soft, and it doesn't feel too dry and waxy at all. It offers a slight, natural looking gloss, and has no taste. I know it will last me quite a while, which can make the higher price worthwhile.
The only set back for me is that it does not contain sunscreens. Otherwise, this is a fun and functional product that's worth trying (Sephora has testers of every product they carry).
