playerkb's Full Review: John Sandford - Rules of Prey
Rules of Prey marks the beginning of the 'prey' series written by John Sandford. In this particular book, the chapters often bounce back and forth between the actions of main character, Lucas Davenport, and a psychotic serial killer he is trying to catch.
In Lucas Davenport, Sandford created, dare I say, an ENJOYABLE and funny cop, who can still get to the bottom of any case by any means necessary. There are two things that start to get under his skin. One is the killer, and the other is his on and off girlfriend Jennifer, a local news reporter. Sanfords final twist brings everything together at the end to conclude a well written story from the very first page.
If you like this particular book, you are in luck, because the rest of the series maintain the same level of action and suspense as the original.
Bottom Line: If this book does it for you, you have a GREAT line of books with your name all over them.
