Pros: Very durable, adequate power, light weight
Cons: Small blade size, poor bevel adjusting mechanism
I've used this saw for quite a while in my deck-building business, and am ready to move up to something bigger and better. The 8" blade isn't enough to make it all the way through a 4x4 or a 1x12. But the biggest bugaboo is the wrestling match you have to engage in with this saw in order to tilt it to the left for bevel cuts. There's an extruded channel along a curve, and it likes to bind unless you've got a firm grip and keep everything aligned. The adjustments available don't seem to help much. Too tight, and it won't move at all; too loose, and it misaligns. The happy medium is elusive.
Truth is, I've got a bad case of DeWalt Envy. As soon as I can spring for the six hundobucks, I'm getting the 12" DeWalt.
