Pros: Prints standard documents well.
Cons: Not good with transparencies.
The Bottom Line: Overall, this is a good printer for black and white documents. Get a canon or epson if you want major color work and better quality.

| lazyleaf's Full Review: Hewlett Packard DeskJet 855cxi InkJet Printer |
Even though I know this printer is far from the best, it's probably the best printer I've ever owned. As a college student, it's great for those last minute papers. Sure, it's not greased lightning, but it prints at a good rate that is sufficient for general purposes. Now as for the cons. This thing will print on transparencies, but if you leave the transparencies with the ink facing against something, heat and friction easily distort and bleed the images and text. Another con is the fact that both the color and black cartridge must both be inserted into the printer for the thing to be able to print anything at all. Doesn't sound like much? Well when I pay almost $50 for two cartridges when I only really plan to use one cartridge, my fur gets flustered. When looking to buy a printer, find one that lets you have one cartridge only when you want to print so you can save money printing those formal lab reports.
