Pros: The Fact That It Still Works. Front USB Port
Cons: Modem is horrible, Freezes up way to much,
The Bottom Line: I wouldnt get another Compaq at all due to this 3 and a half year nightmare. This computer sucks and im not B.S.'sin you either.

Ive owned this computer for about 3 years now. For the first year and a half, the computer was pretty good. It was adequate enough for me. But the last year and a half has been a nightmare. I cannot multitask worth anything. Listening music and talking over instant messengers is virtually impossible. If this wasnt a so called Multimedia computer i wouldnt complain but i payed 2500 for multimedia and its crap. The tag on the box said i had a 20 GB HD but the acutal combined HD is only 17.3 GBs. The fact that i was lied to really ticks me off, even more than this computers poor performance. About 6 months ago my DVD drive stopped working, i only found this out after i wasted money on a DVD for my comp and put it in and then nothing happend. I finally figured out that the so called "Quick Restore" disc didnt restore everything that it had too (including my DVD driver). The computers graphics card really sucks. I mean it REALLY REALLY sucks. The only game that it ran decent was the game that came with it, Incoming.
The modem is the same as the graphics card. It cant hold a 56k connection to save its life. I have to reconnect every 20 minutes or so which is really inconvinient. It messes up my important conversations and downloads. Finally I had enough of it and got a cable inet connection. The last thing i wanna touch is the ram/processor. I have never seen a better example of a poor combonation of Processor/Ram Performance. The 96MB of Ram and 450 AMD K6II processor is only to run the start up programs, if you can run anything after that kudos to you. I just put in an order for a Dell Dimension 4400, so i cant wait for it to get here.
The only real thing that i like about this computer is the Aureal 3D Sound Card. This sounds card delivers an amazing 3d enviroment. But Sound Cards dont make up a good computer does.
