Hi, thanks for your comment. I was looking at a MULTITECH II 56K V.90 modem, here (in Finland) they start at around $200. I can't buy a modem from an American site because they don't meet the specifications set by the Finnish phone company. It is actually a crime to bring faxes, modems etc into the country that are not approved for the Finnish market (I found that out after bringing a fax machine from England into the country, it wouldn't work and when I tried to find out why from the phone company they told me I was using an illegal fax and could be prosecuted for it!)

This is a great review for only your second Epinion! I have one question to ask you though. What type of modem costs twice what this kit costs? Many good internal modems are under $30 now, and I don't think there is an external one on the market that costs over $100. Surely this kit cost you at least that, didn't it?
