Pros: Cheap price and easy to install

The Bottom Line: If you need a good paper weight this wouldnt even work for that!!!

| drpigskin's Full Review: Rio Diamond Monster Sound MX400 |
Sure I was taken in by the price of the MX400 card, it stated great sound for gaming and a cheap price. I figured even if it doesnt work its worth the gamble. I would have been better off using the money on 25 dollars worth of PowerBall tickets. I can not recommend this card to anyone. I installed the card on my TBird 1100 system, within 2 days it began to send a terrible hissing sound through the speakers. I would have to turn down the volume low enough that I couldnt hear anything out of them to avoid it. And for the 4 speaker support, sure it would send sound to all four speakers, but the rear speakers we so low that they could barely be heard. I got so frustrated with the thing that I decided to return to my onboard SB128 card with only 2 speaker support. I guess its time to save my money for a Sound Blaster Live Value.
