Great card, Not so great support

I bought the Annihilator 2 looking for a great card for 3D gaming. Without a doubt it is one of the greatest looking & performing cards I have ever used. I am able to run most games at 1600x1200 and get frame rates that are smooth and really make game play a joy. I won’t go in depth with the specifics, since other reviewers have done a very good job of that. Just make sure you have the latest BIOS on your motherboard and drivers for the card. Life on the bleeding edge requires up to date software.
So, now that I have a great card in my system, what could I possibly complain about. Well, try having the card go bad. I'm not complaining that the card was poorly made or anything, the best made hardware sometimes goes wrong. What did disappoint me is the support Creative provided when I called for a replacement.
Yes my card is covered by a 3-year warranty, good news, but I have to mail the card in to them and WAIT for them to repair it. I was quoted 7-10 days once they receive the card. I inquired about an advance replacement like most other hardware companies offer and was told they only offer that program for businesses. Apparently companies are ordering killer Quake III machines for their corporate desktops. Really, I’m disappointed that a well known company, selling what is clearly a consumer oriented 3D gaming card did not have better support in place for their intended market.
There are other GeForce2 based cards out on the market, many for less money than the Creative, and apparently paying extra for the Creative name, only gets you a prettier box, not better after sale support.
My advice, get a GeForce 2, just save yourself a few bucks and buy another manufacturers card.
