Bill's Compaq MV700 Review
Please note, this review is for the MV700 model, which is pretty much the same as the MV730i. Anyways, on with the review!
When we purchased our Compaq system back in 98, the monitor we received was the biggest we ever used. Seventeen inches is pretty good for people who want a good screen but don't have a ton of money or space.
The monitor's controls are excellent. They are well-designed and easy to use. There is a pair of contrast/selection buttons, an instant degauss button (incase your kid puts a magnet on the monitor) and the menu button.
As far as the image, what can I say? It is crisp, bright, and almost perfect.
Another nice feature of the monitor is a built-in microphone, and a small hole at the top for placing a digital camera.
There are only two drawbacks with this monitor. First is the footprint; it expands out almost a foot-and-a-half, making it hard to place on small desks. The second problem is the weight; this monitor is pretty darn heavy, but still transportable.
