I bought a new Compaq computer and was using it with my old KDS Visual Sensations monitor which I was quite pleased with. When it came time that I needed one computer for myself and one for the kids, I got another Compaq wit a MV 540 monitor.
Mine was a 19" and I was leary about dropping down to 15".
There were a couple of factors that finally sold me. One was the built in mic. I hate cords and the less of them I need to hide, the better.
Secondly was the picture quality. It is better than the 19". It is great quality. The Coloreal Technology is amazing.
I also like the fact that the speakers can either stand independently of the monitor or be hung on the sides of the monitor. I prefer hanging them, but they sound just as good either way. I don't use my speakers much, so this was not a very important feature to me.
I really like th flat screen monitors because they take up less space, but I did not want to pay the price. This monitor is standard size, but hanging the speakers makes it seem as if everything is taking up less space in my rather small work area.
All in all, I would highly recommend the Compaq MV 540.
