The Bottom Line: I recommend purchasing an internal version of this drive or a new external USB Zip 250 drive. It will save you time and a lot of headaches!
tgflyboy82's Full Review: Iomega ZIP 100 (10011) External ZIP Drive
I first had the internal Iomega Zip 100 drive which was great. It was fast, efficient, and had a great storage capacity. I bought a CD Recorder/ rewriter so i had to remove the Zip drive to make room in my computer case. So my brother traded me for my internal Zip drive for the external SCSI drive. I'm not very descriptive when it comes down to the computer lingo but I can say that the serial connection makes this drive incredibly slow! When I attempt to access my files with the drive, it takes a few minutes to open the zip disk and if i'm lucky, it doesn't freeze my computer. Perhaps its just my computer or possibly myself but I would personally recommend an internal Zip drive, a 250 size drive for more storage space, or most of all the USB Zip 250 drive. I've seen the Iomega USB 250 drive put to use and from what i've seen, its about 100 times faster, you can use both 250 and 100 sizes disks, they are smaller and more sleek looking.
