Pros: Cheap, 7.1, good functions
Cons: Big, Bulky, hard colors to match, Cable is retarded
The Bottom Line: If you have the money, get the SB audigy2 platinum, but if you're on a budget system that needs more than the usual- GET THIS! well worth it.

| azneinstein's Full Review: Guillemot Maxi Sound Game Theater XP |
A great little piece of equipment if you don't want to pay the higher prices for Soundblaster stuff. I'm not going to bore you with the specs, you can read them from their website.
Installation: Well, assuming you know your basic computer stuff, it's pretty much a breeze, connecting the card into the PCI slot, the wires, everything was easy and smooth. The instructions weren't even necessary
Drivers: Another breeze, the computer automatically detected them, and installation was easy. I was up and running with the new drivers and everything within 15 minutes.
Usefulness: It's great, with the game port, the USB, the headphones, and microphones outputs, it's very useful. Also, the digital inputs and RCA outputs makes this little machine great. Sound quality is also wonderful, just make sure to update your drivers from the website.
Overall mush: It's great but how the hell are you going to match it with your colors of your computer, with it's black body, blue face and gold accents- it reminds me of a Subaru Impreza. Also, the cable that runs from the PCI card to the box is hell to work with. It's inflexibility renders it to be a hassle, especially if you have to move it around, it big and bulky, and not only that, it's a pretty big length which sucks for all the people that were going to put it on top of their computers. But overall it's a great product for the price.
Current Set-up: 5.1 Creative DTT2200... it wasn't enough to satisfy my needs so I hooked up a 2 channel receiver to the front RCA with two big speakers (tweeter, mid, and woofer). Let me just tell you, when you're in front of the computer, it's fantastic, as long as your speakers are adequate and not some bootleg brand, I was mesmerized by the sound coming from the music that enclosed me. Also, for a little cheap party, it was great, I connected a Pioneer Elite Receiver to it, with some boomy 15' JBLs, along with the 5.1 set up, it was great. Being able to connect multiple receivers to this thing along with a 5.1 set up is a functionality that makes this product well worth paying for.
