I have an experience with these drives and I have found them to be nothing but fantastic. I have a Mitsumi CR-4802TE and my sister now has the updated model, the CR-4804TE. Having had the drive for well over two years now, and having put it through some very heavy use, it still burns just as reliable as it used to. Installation is as easy as eating the average Mr Kipling product - its done through the IDE interface, and WinOnCD came supplied. Updating the FIRMWARE will enable you to write CD-TEXT on Audio CDs.
Well, I can't say a great deal about these drives, 4x (600Kb/sec) write isn't exactly lightning these days, and a copy of the much superior Nero Burning Rom or Roxio would really complete the package, but out of all the hardware I have come across the Mitsumi is the one I would recommend above all else. For Value For Money, Reliability and Ease Of Installation, its an amazing piece of kit, for a good price.
