Pros: high quality, stable, price, Overclocking options aplenty
Cons: The aging KT133 chipset can't keep up with its new siblings (KT133A & KT133E)
The Bottom Line: If you are going to go with a mid-line processor from AMD, then I must recommend this board. Get the KT7-A for high-end CPU's.

| cykosis's Full Review: Abit KT7 Motherboard |
The KT7 was at one point the top of the line flagship motherboard from ABIT. But truth be told it no longer has that prestige. But this does not make it a bad motherboard in any way. In this product you get all you need for a power system. To start off you get the Socket A platform for all of AMD's newer processors that support the 200 mhz front side bus with a memory subsystem that is arguably the best in the industry. The AGP slot supports video cards that are AGP 4x certified, assuring that the videocard will have all the bandwidth it needs to keep all those graphics intensive games flowing smoothly. You also get 6 PCI slots and 1 Legacy ISA slot for those that are still taking advantage of those old soundcards or modems. Then bios comes furnished from Award and features ABIT's famous Softmenu III function. This allows the user to fully configure their computer by giving the option to set the frequency of the CPU higher than it is rated. This motherboard gained a great following from overclockers in its hayday and is still a very good choice for the midrange AMD processors like the Athlon 1 GHz. All in all this is a great board.
