| gadget_guru's Full Review: Mustek Plug-n-Scan 1200 III EP Flatbed Scanner |
For the Christmas, I wanted to buy myself a present - a scanner - so did some research and came up with three recommendation. Two of them were more than $100 and Mustek Plug-n-scan was the one below $100 limit. I did not want to spend too much money, I decided to buy from the neighborhood Staples so that I can return it in case I did not like it.
Paid $89 dollars, got it brought it home and plug it and installed the software and scanned a few photos. It takes long time to scan and the picture quality was very poor - distorted color and poor renditioning. It came with software that were dated 1998, what happened to new technology? I tried going through the manual to optimize the color etc. I think the manual asked me to change some settings on my monitor since they think it may be my monitor. Any ways, after wasting a few hours over the holiday, I returned the Plug-n-Scan and ended up buying some thing else.
