Pros: Fast, Easy to Put Together, Works without having to 'dink' around with it.
Cons: Speakers sound OK, I am replacing them.
The Bottom Line: This is a really good computer at a great price.

The 7850C is my 5th personal computer, and I finally got it right. I have been surprised how much I do on this PC, and how much fun I have. Why? Because I spend time on software, not trying to figure out how to make the hardware do what I need it to do.
Sounds OK, right! But what am I talking about? The last 3 PC's I have had over the past 10 years have needed a lot of adjustments. Things like getting the modem to connect above 28,800 on my 56K modem on my last computer took days. Fussing with set up, adding hardware/software, and memory. All that kind of stuff, I could go on, but if you have really flexed a PC you probably know what I am talking about.
With the HP 7850C I have not done any of this 'fussing'. I have just plugged in what I have and the PC has handled it. I know part of this is that the technology is getting more user friendly, but my friend with a similar new Dell has been fighting with it while have been using mine.
Also the speed is great, 933 MHz really handles the things that I do well, and with the P4's coming out the price is really getting attractive.
On the down side, the speakers are not 'up to snuff' while they sound OK, I do a lot with online music, and they don't measure up. Almost no real bass even with the back holes strategically aimed. Also I like the colors and design, but the 17-inch monitor look a little funny, like a space movie reject.
So if you haven't guessed, I think this is a great computer.
