piece of garbage

Pros: good printer and copier when it works

Cons: prepare to remove and manually clean the cartriges every print

The Bottom Line: stay the heck away from this printer it was a bad design and should have been recalled in my opinion

i got this z 82 from my father who had it for a year he returned it to lexmark and they replaced it with another that had the same problem the ink cartriges dry up and you have to take them out and clean them by hand
also when he recived it from lexmark it was broken in many places which he didnt notice because he got so fed up he put it in the basement and bought another lexmark (bad idea) so now i have it and when i called lexmark to ask why they did not resolve the problem he had(ink drying up)they told me it wasnt under warranty anymore and they were not going to do anything
my father is 65 yrs old and has had a quad bypass do you think he has the time or the energy to keep trying it again and again no wonder he gave up
all i can say is what a piece of crap and what a piece of crap company for not helping an old man and taking advantage of his old age to screw him. i will try again to have lexmark fix the situation and if my father wasnt half blind or if i was living close at the time we would not even have accepted the broken printer the sent back as a replacement
im not saying lexmark broke it i think it happened in shipping but it was still thier responsability to fix it and make the situation right i dont think its right that he bought another lexmark all in one and is having no luck with that because he bought the x75 which is a nightmare to install
