| jonman's Full Review: Abit BE6 Motherboard |
I built a new computer from scratch, and I saw good reviews of the BE6, so I bought it. I wasn't disapointed. It has everything that I need. AGP 4x, 5 PCI slots, 2 USB ports, and, well you can see the picture. I wanted my new computer to be top of the line, so I put in a Hercules 3d Prophet 2 (geforce 2), a pentium III 500 processor (maybe not top of the line, but pretty dang good anyway), 128 megs of pc100 ram, an IBM Deskstar 20.5 gig ultra ata 66 7200 rpm hard drive, and a Sound Blaster Live. The motherboard handled them all perfectly. My only complaint with it is that if I ever want to upgrade the CPU, I can only go up to Pentium III 700, but still, for me to upgrade everything else fully, and still need a better processor, is a bit of a way off. But overall, for $100, I don't think that you can ask for a much better motherboard.
