| mcse's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Pavilion N3150 (F1912A) PC Noteboo... |
Purchased an HP Pavilion N3150 laptop a couple of weeks ago at an
online auction. This is a refurbished unit, and it is like new. Got
a great deal!
This is a very nice laptop. It has an Intel Celeron 433mHz processor,
12.1 inch TFT screen, 4.8 gb HD, 64 mb RAM, CD, 56k v.90 modem built-in, great
stereo sound, and touch pad mouse. Very powerful and fast. The 12.1
inch screen is a nice size (we have a 15 inch screen on a Gateway
laptop at work and it makes for a bigger unit overall). It is light
in weight as a result (about 6.6 lbs).
I have added a Netgear network card and use it to connect to my home
network for file transfer and Internet connections. One nice feature
of this laptop is the ability to play CD music without having to turn
the whole laptop on and booting to Windows 98. External controls for
playing a music CD are right in front.
External monitor connection allows for hooking up to a desktop monitor,
and the same for an external mouse or keyboard, and speakers.
Battery life is running over 2 hours, and charge time is fairly fast.
Setup was a breeze, but I have uninstalled almost all of the pre-installed
software because I have my other favorites to install.
HP quality is readily noticeable. The HP website is as good as it gets
for updated drivers (I know because I also have an HP printer).
I am thoroughly happy with this purchase.
