Pros: Power, Large Screen, Best purchase yet
Cons: Camera accessories s/w not stable on win2000.
The Bottom Line: If you are a computer nut, good at fixing computers, and finding solutions from knowledge base on the web. Only thing missing is a car alarm remote and beeper.

This is not a desktop Replacement. It is THE BANG. This REPLACEMENT replaces my old SONY C1X laptop, my dual celeron workstation, my PIII 750 and celeron 500 work computer. I got everything working and installed after a week. Best purchase I have made. Driving trip to Montreal from Toronto (6 hour drive), reading documentation and emails during the whole time. Can't believe I still had lots of battery power left. Solid as a rock.
I know some people complain that the 1600x1200 resolution is too small, but nuts to them. I never had so much screen estate. I love it. (3D games are good too)
I also know that some people complain that the video capture card doesn't capture higher than 700 lines of resolution. Obviously these people don't know anything. Your tv only plays at 320 lines. Camcorders only go up to 500 to 700 lines too. If you want to go higher, then by a digital camera.
Problems with shipped thinkpad, but can be resolved by reading web support documents. It took 2.5 months to get it shipped.
