Excellent review, but I need more help .... (Reply to this comment)

Hi, I just came across your review and thought it was excellent! I'm glad you went in deeper than just reviewing the setup instructions and commented on problems that occured later.
Anyways, it "looks" like a product that will answer all my problems, but I would like to quiz you more, before I rush out to buy it.
I have just taken over this project and the problem that I have noted is that:
a) when a user loses connection to the ADSL router, they have to reconnect manually each time, through the Belkin router.
In addition as soon as 5 users log on they all get disconnected.
b) no back up to the dial up is available, thus most users were not able to connect to the internet when the ADSL connection was down.
Currently the network is set up with the ADSL router connected to a Wireless Belkin router which in turn connects to each user on the network. There are 10 users.
I believe that instead of the Belkin router we need to replace this with an Access point. Thus needing an Access point and a backup connection to the Dialup I was relieved to read your article on D-Link.
My questions ...
1. Does D-Link automatically switch to the backup dialup connection if the ADSL connection is down?
For example, would a user's PC recognize the connection is down and look to use the next gateway which we would assign as the Modem dialup, then automatically connect to this?
2. Could it be the Belkin router causing the disconnections to the ADSL line and is replacing this with an Access point likely to resolve the connection dropping.
I tested connecting a PC directly to the ADSL router and the connection does not drop, hence I thought it was likely to be a problem with the network setup. Surfing the web I realised that may be it is an access point instead of a second Belkin router that we need.
I'd be grateful to hear your thoughts on this and just to get an update on the performance of the D-Link champ!
Thanks Minal

reading your well detailed review. It is a little too technical for me, but enjoyed it. I found your review through the Commentsments board.
