I cannot believe how fast this printer works. It prints approximately 50 pages a minute. It is at the top of line of Laserline printers.

It can handle the printing needs of a large department or office. It can do work in batches and it is great for producing monthly or quarterly reports. The price is a hefty $3000 to $8240. The lower end price model has two 500 sheet paper drawers. It has a 100 sheet multipurpose tray and a network card. The model has a warranty period, includes printer setup and other supports during the warranty period. More expensive models have a duplexer, a 2000 sheet input tray, and a 3000 page stacker and stapler feature.

This machine weighs allot at 143 pounds. It is hard to lift. It is easily installed with Microsoft Windows 2000 server. The installation wizard searches for the printer and accepts the network settings which the wizard tells it to. Some things the wizard asks are whether to a install additional drives or to share the printer.

Th speed is incredible for this model. A 100 page text file takes about 2 minutes to print or about 46 pages per minute. Minus out the first page gives the final number at 8 seconds. I printed a word file with four photos and it printed in 10 seconds for each page. Two pages takes 15 seconds. An 8 by 10 inch monochrome photo (300 dpi) takes 21 seconds. (from Photoshop)

I like the print quality. It is very good for a 600 dpi printer. The good quality comes from resolution enhancement technology. Four point texts come out very sharp and readable. Graphics are smooth and complete. The monochrome photos are as good as real photo quality prints.

This printer has the speed and top quality needed for big jobs. It is one of the best ones on the market currently.
