Pros: Almost instant relief from the pain of fibromyalgia. Product good for all aches and pains.
Cons: Can sting eyes or skin.
Fibromyalgia sufferers everywhere, throw out your other pain patches, creams, ointments and anything else you have been using. This is the only item you need because it works! Get to your drugstore as soon as you can and purchase this product. If you live near a Costco, that's even better because you can purchase three boxes at a time, at tremendous savings. (At the Costco near me, it's about $6.89 for the three boxes.)
For anyone who has this condition, I don't have to tell you about the constant aches and pains. One of the main reasons why I don't write reviews that much anymore,is that I can't be on the computer for long periods of time. I've suffered for over 10 years and I won't bore you with what I've tried that did not work.
I don't even remember how I found out about this product but I have been using it for at least five or six years. In the beginning, I had to order it over the web because my local drugstores did not carry it. Now most drugstores have it, as well as many other pain patches. I've tried TigerBalm, TheraCAre, BenGay and many other varieties. Don't bother. The reason I come back to Salonpas-they stay on and they work. The others do not stay put and don't relieve the pain.
Salonpas comes in two sizes: a small patch that is sold in boxes of 20. The small ones are approx. 2 and 1/2 inches by 1 and 1/4 inches. The larger size is 5.12 inches by 3.31 inches. If possible, get both sizes and keep them handy. I keep a box at work and I can't tell you what a relief that is. Like many other working folks out there, I spend a great deal of time on the computer. This has helped get me through many a work day. It is so effective. I know I'm repeating myself but it works. Nothing will make this type pain go away forever. It will make it possible to continue your work day. I cannot be without it. It's even in my handbag. Don't leave home without it.
What's in this miracle pain patch? Mostly menthol. There is the smell of menthol but it's not overwhelming or unpleasant. No one at work or anywhere else has ever said anything to me about the smell. Don't worry about wearing it as you go about your day. There are 2 patches on each strip, in each size. ( Note that larger size packages only contain 4 patches.) Just peel them off and put them on wherever you feel pain. They last a long time but replace them after 8 hours. I've worn them to bed and I've woken up in a better place.
I do need to state that sometimes they do sting my skin. I'm not certain why. I would not use them if you've already applied a cream or lotion (like arnica cream) as they will not stick. And sometimes, they make my eyes sting. I'm not certain why that happens either. These are minor issues for me but I did want to make mention of it. Of course, anyone trying this item for the first time will read the information on the back of the package.
I have also used them for other purposes, but mostly because of the fibromyalgia. I'd like to continue "singing" the praises of this product, but said condition is telling me that it's time to get off the computer.
I would be so delighted if anyone suffering from fibromyalgia tries this product and finds the relief I have found. If you do find it helps you, please let me know.
