Cons:Several...read my review...not recommended!
The Bottom Line: Not recommended. I wake up if I turn over to face it at night because the backlight is so bright. TERRIBLE!
I bought this alarm clock because I am a light sleeper, easily disturbed by light and sound. The package touted that the display could be dimmed, that the audible sounds would wake me up easy in the morning and lull me off to sleep at night. Finally, it has a small form factor which was a plus since I have a relatively small bedside table. This thing has been a struggle since the day I bought it. Rather than take it back (which is what I should have done) I tried to make it work...for starters the dimmer is inadequate, the backlight on the LCD display is so bright that I had to place 6 sheets of 30% tint just to darken it down to where I would not be disturbed while sleeping - and the backlight is still so bright it shines *through* the plastic body of the unit! Now I can't see the display in the daytime but it's still too bright at night. The audio is awful, the sounds are nice but the integrated circuit amplifiers sound off in the morning with a loud "pop" as they are energized and start to play the quiet wakeup alarm. Mainly all I hear is the loud "pop" as the volume begins to ramp up. Absolutely awful. I've tolerated this clock for about 4 months and I'm looking for others. Definitely not recommended if you're a light sleeper...but if you're not, why would you even consider this clock???
