I received the iHome docking station as a Christmas gift and it was broken beyond repair before the following Christmas. Although I was always careful docking and un-docking my ipod, the part that connects to the ipod itself basically broke off and fell into the radio. I would have expected this part to be more durable. Of course, sending the iHome out for repair would have cost more than replacing the item. And the customer service number on the iHome itself was a dead end. The 1-800 number on the clock radio seems to have nothing to do with any iHome product at all. I never even got to speak with a person. Because of my poor experience with this iHome product I will never buy another one again. I have also been telling others about their cheaply-made products and their poor, non-existing service. Bottom line is that this product is short-lived and practically disposable. It is not worth the money.
