| lauren2973's Full Review: Rio Volt SP90 Personal CD Player |
Wow, when Rio Volt works, it's great. It's not quite the skip proof they claim, but it's better than most. If you have the money to invest in rechargeable batteries it's even better. Problem is, I've now bought 2 Rio Volts. One for myself, one for my better half. Within a year, both players stopped working. And I mean completely stopped working. Neither one will even turn on. I contacted Rio Volt numerous times. The first time, I received a not so customer friendly message. After that, I never once got a response. Even after they requested one back with further information about both players. Note: I have not been unpleasant in the least thus far, but have only informed Rio Volt of the problem. Rio Volt confirmed that I was unlucky enough to get 2 defective players. Hmmmm.... but it wasn't defective when I bought it. Seems to be that the player just doesn't last, which would be more easily dealt with if Rio Volt would respond as they should and refund the price of both defective players. Needless to say, I'm done with any Rio Volt or Sonic Blue products. I don't need to waste another few hundred dollars on products that don't last and then not get reimbursed for their "defective" product!
